I chose Senior Care Authority and the placement industry because I wanted to make a difference in the community I grew up in. I’ve always been very comfortable around older adults, and when I see them struggling — and see their family members struggling — the compassion to help is what drives me.

I always tell people who are interested in getting into this business that if they’re doing it just for the money, it’s going to show. But if they’re doing it to genuinely help people, that will show just as clearly.

From the very beginning, I let families know that I will be with them during the tours we take. I help them ask the right questions and make sure they feel comfortable that they’re making the right decision. There’s never a rush. It’s always on their timeline. But I try to give them as much information as possible.

One of the main reasons I got into this business is that I don’t have to charge families anything to help them. If they choose one of the options I recommend, I receive a referral fee from the community.

Frank and his team at Senior Care Authority have been supportive the entire time I’ve been part of the organization. If I ever have questions, I can reach out to Frank personally or to any member of the team, and they help me get the answers I need.

I highly recommend Senior Care Authority for anyone who wants to get into the elder care industry.

Senior Care Authority does things in a way that no other competitor in this space is even capable of doing. We are so well differentiated in the market. We’re an all-encompassing elder care consulting firm that happens to include placement.

What makes Senior Care Authority a great franchise opportunity is that the essence of the business is helping hold a family’s hand from start to finish. I can literally see the stress coming off the shoulders of the people I’m working with. Almost on a daily basis, families hug me and say, “Oh my gosh, I don’t know what we would have done without you.” That’s the kind of takeaway you get from doing this work.

Our franchisees have flexibility, but they still need to follow the system—those who deviate tend to have a tougher time. Senior Care Authority gives us a strong template, but they don’t micromanage. There’s a lot of flexibility in how we do our jobs. We’re thrilled with the franchise because we paid a fee, and we’ve more than gotten that value back. We’ve received training, ongoing support, and a network we can tap into constantly. I don’t think I go more than a couple of days without talking to someone about the franchise, how things are going, or how to improve.

Senior Care Authority is a wonderful business opportunity, but more than that, it’s a wonderful business to work in. I always tell people: if you do it just for the money, it shows. But if you truly want to help people, that shows too, and that’s what families want.

We feel we couldn’t have made a better choice. It’s been very successful, and we highly recommend it to anyone considering a franchise. It gives you the opportunity to run a successful business while helping people during one of the most difficult times in their lives. It really is the best of both worlds.

The great thing about Senior Care Authority is that if you’re willing to put in the time and effort to grow the business, the sky is the limit in terms of what you can achieve and earn.

It all starts with families understanding that I am going to help them walk through everything, every step of the way.

Typically, our calls come from a child or grandchild who discovers that Mom, Dad, Grandma, or Grandpa is having accidents, has fallen, or is in the hospital—and the hospital won’t send them home. It’s a crisis. We need to find a place for them to go. We’re able to quickly identify what the options are, what they can afford, and where they want to be geographically.

This is such a hard situation for a family to address. It gets into meaning-of-life issues when someone we care about—someone who helped raise us—becomes vulnerable. Usually it’s the oldest daughter in the family. She’s in her 50s or 60s, busy with work, with kids in college, and suddenly something happens with her parents and she doesn’t know what to do.

The place we start is listening. We have an active way of listening that helps us understand the salient issues the family is dealing with: the level of care required, personal preferences, social and recreational needs, and cultural background. Once we understand these elements and learn their stories, we can walk them through the different options.

Every family is completely different. I cannot treat one client like another. I take time to do a full intake. I ask a lot of questions, and then I sit back and listen.

From the very beginning, I let families know that I will be with them during the tours. I’ll help them ask the right questions and help them feel comfortable that they’re making the right decision.

I call myself an elder care strategist because every family is like a puzzle: what fits and what doesn’t? We love what we do because when we’re done, people say, “Oh my God, thank you so much for helping us. We were in a crisis. You found her a fantastic place with everything she needs. Now that she’s there, we can get back to our lives again.”

I don’t predict the outcome in advance. I allow families to discover it through the process. I call it the pursuit of dignity, because what we’re really trying to do is find the most dignified solution for the older adult.

One of the great things about Senior Care Authority is that this is a business you can run on your own and be very successful. We have many franchise owners who are solopreneurs.

It gave me the chance to work with older adults (which I love) while having the flexibility that comes with being a business owner. I can do this by myself, work from home, and maintain a good work-life balance, while still having the support I need without having employees.

There are so many different ways to structure the business. Some people choose to remain a one-person operation, while others aim to build a much larger team. The flexibility is there to grow in whichever direction you want.

I was retired from the corporate world, and my business partner was tired of working for other people. We both wanted to work for ourselves. Our franchisees have flexibility, but they still need to follow the system, and those who deviate tend to have a tougher time.

Senior Care Authority gives us a strong template to work with, but they don’t dictate every move. There is a lot of flexibility in how we do our jobs, and you can tailor your business the way you want. You’re very supported. Your ideas are listened to, and the team is readily available when you need them.

I highly recommend Senior Care Authority for anyone who wants to enter the elder care industry.

When I started Senior Care Authority years ago, the catalyst was everything I went through with my own parents. I wanted to start a company that truly helped families navigate these types of crises.

I do this because I love it. I had no idea that my superpower would be helping families find the right assisted living communities for their parents. It gives me great satisfaction to be able to help people.

I’ve always been drawn to seniors my entire life; helping them figure things out, overcome challenges, and enjoy their later years instead of being afraid of them.

I have a Senior Care Authority franchise because of my father-in-law. As he began to age, we fell into every pitfall imaginable. We constantly said, “Wouldn’t it be great if there were someone who could navigate this entire thing for us?” We would have loved to have someone like us to lean on during those difficult days with our aging parents. I chose Senior Care Authority and the senior care industry because my family had very difficult experiences. We lived with Alzheimer’s for ten years and made every mistake possible. Once I realized there were people who could help walk you through it, I was drawn to the work. Having someone guide us made the process far less stressful, and that’s why I wanted to become a franchisee.

We wanted to build a business that made us feel good about what we were doing. We love helping older adults, and the families who care for them, navigate their eldercare journey.

The nice thing about Senior Care Authority is that we have multiple streams of income and multiple ways that clients can work with us.

First, is the placement side of the business, which is no cost to clients. Most of our business (about 85%) comes from fees we receive from the communities where we place families, very much like a realtor. If you buy a house, the seller pays the realtor’s fee. It works much the same for us.

Placements in skilled nursing facilities are different because those facilities will not pay referral fees. So if we want to get paid for that work, we charge the family directly. Families are often willing to pay because we can help them find a skilled nursing bed faster, in a better community, and we can negotiate on their behalf. It has been a wonderful addition to our business, making up roughly 20% of our revenue.

The families are often glad to pay our fees because we’re solving major problems for them.

What I’ve always loved about Senior Care Authority is that it’s constantly evolving. There are always new programs, new ideas. We’re not a stagnant placement company.

We are a full-service elder care consulting company. If you’re considering entering the senior care industry, the Senior Care Authority franchise is truly the best because it offers a full suite of services and solutions for families.

The driving issue is such a challenge for families.

Beyond Driving with Dignity, as a franchise owner, has helped me immensely in a very crowded field—crowded in a good way.

With Beyond Driving with Dignity, we’re able to walk an older adult through a process of self-discovery and provide information that helps them think through: Is it safe for me to continue doing what I’m doing?

Telling someone you’re going to take the keys away, if their mom or dad shouldn’t be driving, takes time and a lot of nurturing. It is such a different picture when someone feels like their keys are being taken away from them.

That’s why I’m such a believer in the Beyond Driving with Dignity process. It is a point of difference. When I talk about it, people stop and listen because no one else is doing anything like it.

The Beyond Driving with Dignity program has been a great asset to my Senior Care Authority business. What’s powerful is when someone decides this for themselves, especially at that age. It promotes dignity, it promotes confidence: they are in the driver’s seat.

It’s a very rewarding job that we have. We feel good about helping people through a period of chaos and confusion, and really being able to have an impact on the community while also running a successful business.

I like being the person who helps a family solve the problem of what to do or how to support an aging loved one. We’ve now helped tens of thousands of families, and I feel good about that.

What makes Senior Care Authority a great franchise opportunity is that the essence of the work is helping to hold a family’s hand from start to finish. I get up each day and genuinely enjoy working with these families and helping them — and at the same time, I’m making a nice living doing it.

I’ve spent my entire life as a salesperson, a sales manager, and a sales coach. And I always believed that I was helping people. But none of the work I ever did compares to the remarkable feel-good aspect of what we do here.

What gives me joy is hearing stories from our franchisees about how Senior Care Authority has changed their lives. You can give back while still earning a living.

We were looking at several franchises when we decided to go with Senior Care Authority, and they provided all the tools we needed to be successful. One of the things that stood out to me initially was the training: it was far more extensive than any of the others I looked at.

They were always there with resources, different methods to try, and continuous support, always offering additional options to help me succeed. The support from Senior Care Authority has been tremendous. They are always coming up with new, innovative ways to generate leads and better care for the families we work with.

From the very first family we helped, we had the collective knowledge of people who had already helped thousands of families. Your ideas are listened to, and help is readily available when you need it. It’s a wonderful franchise system where everyone works together. I’ve never seen such a quality group of people.

Our colleagues in Senior Care Authority are a cut above. It’s a network and a resource I consistently lean on and rely on. You will not regret looking into Senior Care Authority franchises because of the incredible support the team provides. They will be there for you, day or night, to answer all your questions. That culture of support comes from the top down and extends across the entire team.

The franchise has been a huge help. Without that background, I don’t think I’d be where I am today. You can’t go wrong with Senior Care Authority. The support is there. The knowledge is there. The experience is there.
