Position Summary: Be a part of a team committed to improving the lives of seniors and their families. You must have a desire to help families through stressful times associated with their search for the most appropriate living option for their loved one. You will work with your established relationships with key referral sources and continue to network via cold calls, pre-arranged meetings and other direct sales activities and represent the Company on various levels cultivating these relationships. You must have a proven track record of generating and closing leads. We will provide the training and support to develop referral sources and bring in new leads. This is a contract position and can be highly rewarding from both a compensation and community service standpoint.
Job Requirements
Qualification/Skills/Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to effectively listen and communicate both verbally and in writing
- Available for occasional weekend and/or off hours meetings or phone calls
- Experience in retirement living sales, assisted living or healthcare setting
- Established referral relationships in the industry
- Alzheimer’s and dementia experience a plus
- Nursing or social work background a plus
Key Competencies
- Proficient reading, writing, grammar, public speaking skills; strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop new relationships; good organizational skills with attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Engages with prospects in a patient, courteous and caring manner; demonstrated ability to assess family situations and quickly develop solution based upon family needs
- Demonstrates a strong knowledge of sales strategy and implementation
- Ability to deliver results while working in a highly independent environment
- Keeps informed of all trends, developments, concepts and techniques in the field that affect the service
- Understands the need of the senior and the aging process
Responsibilities
- Networking with healthcare providers such as rehab facilities, local hospitals, doctor’s offices, case managers, senior centers, elder law attorneys, financial planners, skilled nursing and other providers to build referrals; review state reports on assisted living providers to ensure only those that have the best records are considered for families
- Schedule, organize and conduct tours with prospective resident of independent and assisted living, memory care and residential care homes; continuously create, unique and personal follow up for prospects and their families; track all contacts/inquiries in a detailed manner on CRM (Salesforce)
- Ensure receipt of all required financial, insurance and medical documentation; maintain confidentiality of all pertinent information
- Facilitate and assist with the completion of the resident move-in process and complete necessary paperwork
- Structured, pre-scheduled training attendance is required including Certified Senior Advisor certification
- Prepare and forward weekly marketing reports
