Senior Care Advisor

For over 20 years I dedicated my energy to helping youth through teaching. For various reasons including the need for work autonomy and flexibility, I decided to switch gears. The question was how can I make a living and fill my need to service others at the same time. As I pondered possibilities, I realized two factions in our society have been pushed away and are disrespected: the youth and the elderly.

While teaching emcompassed my work life for a long time, recently my personal life was impacted by my father in decline. My brother and I struggled helping my father navigate through the challenges of aging. Despite being educated people, we had little knowledge about the nuances of communities, insurance options, financial implications, estate sales, POAs and many of the other obstacles seniors face.

Now through my extensive training at Senior Care Authority and my personal experience, I can knowledgeably relate to families whose elderly loved one is in need of help. I am excited to grow my business and become a needed resource for the senior population in my area.

Your Advisor will meet with you in person to discuss your options and then accompany you on visits to places that meet your criteria. We ensure that all your questions are answered, and assist with paperwork and negotiations. The hallmark of our service commitment is that we are by your side every step of the way.

We are paid a referral fee by the communities and care homes so there is no cost to you for our placement services. In the rare case where we are not contracted with a community, your Advisor will let you know at the outset and explain any fees that might be incurred, should you choose that location. You can expect total transparency from us and we respect your right to choose.

Senior Care Authority

Senior Care Authority® was founded in 2009 by Frank and Michele Samson of Sonoma, California. They opened a local placement agency and learned everything there was to know about finding the right care situation for an older adult needing help with activities of daily living. They came to the Senior Care space with successful business development skills in their past as well as personal family experience finding care solutions. The business took off, primarily due to their diligence, compassion, and commitment to helping families.

Founder and CEO, Frank Samson launched Senior Care Authority® in 2009 with our first location in Sonoma County, California. Previously, Frank built a concierge travel-based franchise into a premier global brand with over 75 franchise owners. With his 20 years of expertise in the franchise industry and a passion to help families and their aging loved ones, Frank identified a need in the senior industry for a concierge approach to help families through challenging and stressful circumstances.
