About Us

Tim Walsh is the owner of Senior Care Authority for the Triangle, servicing Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill and the surrounding areas. He is a Certified Senior Advisor, and Certified Dementia Practitioner. He helps families navigate the broad, confusing, and often stressful waters of finding the best senior living options for their loved one.

After working for more than 25 years in the corporate world, Tim has found a way to use his life experiences to help others who are facing life changing decisions for themselves or a family member. Over the past few years, he has experienced first hand how challenging finding the right community can be when his father had to move out of Independent Living because of frequent falls. Following a successful operation to improve his balance and a rehabilitation stay, they were met with the task of finding a longer term community that would meet his dad’s needs. They finally found a suitable solution after countless hours of research, touring too many facilities and having to remove his dad from multiple communities that were not the right fit. Tim is now able to use this experience to help families save time, save money, and provide a much less stressful experience to find the right fit for their loved one, without going through the pain and frustration that he and his dad went through.

Tim now spends much of his time touring and reviewing local senior living communities including assisted and independent living, dementia and memory care, and residential care homes. He meets one-on-one with families to assess their needs and accompanies them on tours of pre-approved communities. He also assists with negotiations and paperwork, and follows up with the family once their loved one has moved in.

Originally from the Boston area, Tim moved to Raleigh in 2011 where he now lives with his wife Jamie and their two young children.
