Christy began her career on the hospital floor as a Certified Nursing Assistant and later supported patients in a cardiology practice, where she learned firsthand how stressful health changes can be for patients and their loved ones. During her time as a stay at home mom, she walked alongside her parents as her dad experienced the increasing challenges of Lewy Body Dementia and began to understand firsthand how overwhelming care decisions can feel in real time.

Christy saw the need for knowledgeable and competent professionals in the senior care industry and returned to healthcare, leading marketing and sales for a local home care company. Today, she uses that full-circle background—hands-on patient care, family caregiving, and deep local connections—to help families feel informed, supported, and confident as they explore care options. As a Certified Senior Advisor, Christy is committed to advocating for what’s best for each family’s unique situation, while communicating clearly and quickly through every step of the journey.

Joe has almost 20 years of millwork and construction experience, including extensive work inside healthcare facilities. He has seen how the right environment, safe design, thoughtful support, and consistent routines can make daily life more manageable for older adults and their families. Joe brings a steady, practical approach and helps families make senior care decisions with clarity and confidence.

Joe’s “why” is personal. Supporting Christy’s parents as her dad declined with Lewy Body Dementia gave Joe a firsthand understanding of how quickly needs can change and how heavy these decisions can feel. Today, Joe helps families by simplifying options, asking the right questions, and providing dependable follow-through. He’s known for being calm under pressure, responsive, and focused on what’s best for the whole family. Joe believes senior care isn’t just a choice, it’s a life transition, and families deserve clear guidance, genuine compassion, and a trusted advocate every step of the way.

Your Advisor will meet with you in person to discuss your options and then accompany you on visits to places that meet your criteria. We ensure that all your questions are answered, and assist with paperwork and negotiations. The hallmark of our service commitment is that we are by your side every step of the way.

We are paid a referral fee by the communities and care homes so there is no cost to you for our placement services. In the rare case where we are not contracted with a community, your Advisor will let you know at the outset and explain any fees that might be incurred, should you choose that location. You can expect total transparency from us and we respect your right to choose.

Senior Care Authority

Senior Care Authority® was founded in 2009 by Frank and Michele Samson of Sonoma, California. They opened a local placement agency and learned everything there was to know about finding the right care situation for an older adult needing help with activities of daily living. They came to the Senior Care space with successful business development skills in their past as well as personal family experience finding care solutions. The business took off, primarily due to their diligence, compassion, and commitment to helping families.

Founder and CEO, Frank Samson launched Senior Care Authority® in 2009 with our first location in Sonoma County, California. Previously, Frank built a concierge travel-based franchise into a premier global brand with over 75 franchise owners. With his 20 years of expertise in the franchise industry and a passion to help families and their aging loved ones, Frank identified a need in the senior industry for a concierge approach to help families through challenging and stressful circumstances.
