With more than 20 years of experience in healthcare and senior care navigation, Amy brings uncommon wisdom and compassion to families facing complex decisions for their aging loved ones. Her background spans the full continuum of senior care, giving her a deep understanding of what truly matters most to seniors and their families during times of transition.

Throughout her career, Amy has worked across Skilled Nursing, Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care settings. This broad experience allows her to see the bigger picture and balance safety, independence, dignity, and quality of life. She understands firsthand the emotional weight families carry as they navigate these choices and the desire to make thoughtful, informed decisions with confidence.

As the owner of Senior Care Authority of North Texas, Amy is dedicated to empowering families with clear guidance and trusted resources. She partners closely with each family to understand their unique goals, explore appropriate options, and simplify what can often feel like an overwhelming process. Her approach is rooted in integrity, empathy, and practical insight.

Leveraging an extensive background in healthcare management and marketing for physicians and hospitals, she provides sophisticated, resource-driven representation for seniors. Carolyn partners closely with families to identify optimal locations in North Texas, always meticulously balancing clinical requirements, geographic preferences, and budgetary considerations. Her dedication to every senior is a start-to-finish commitment, beginning with the initial consultation and continuing well after move-in day.

To ensure her clients receive comprehensive, wrap-around support, Carolyn leverages a robust network of strategic partnerships, including Elder Law Attorneys, clinical transportation providers, home health agencies, and hospice specialists. Beyond placement, she offers “Peace of Mind” visits as part of her consulting services—a vital solution for families seeking consistent advocacy and proactive wellness checks for their loved ones.

Beyond her professional advocacy, Carolyn’s life is enriched by her devotion to family, deep-rooted friendships, and her leadership within Sunday School. Whether she is tending to her flower garden, exploring new travel destinations, or finding quiet joy in a great audiobook or a knitting project, her journey is defined by a lifelong commitment to faith, creativity, and connection.

Your Advisor will meet with you in person to discuss your options and then accompany you on visits to places that meet your criteria. We ensure that all your questions are answered, and assist with paperwork and negotiations. The hallmark of our service commitment is that we are by your side every step of the way.

We are paid a referral fee by the communities and care homes so there is no cost to you for our placement services. In the rare case where we are not contracted with a community, your Advisor will let you know at the outset and explain any fees that might be incurred, should you choose that location. You can expect total transparency from us and we respect your right to choose.

Senior Care Authority

Senior Care Authority® was founded in 2009 by Frank and Michele Samson of Sonoma, California. They opened a local placement agency and learned everything there was to know about finding the right care situation for an older adult needing help with activities of daily living. They came to the Senior Care space with successful business development skills in their past as well as personal family experience finding care solutions. The business took off, primarily due to their diligence, compassion, and commitment to helping families.
