Laura Cassell is a dedicated aging services professional with over 12 years of experience helping older adults and their families navigate senior living and care options with confidence. She began her career as a Marketing and Sales Director at a large assisted living community in Minnesota, where she gained firsthand expertise in senior housing, care models, and family decision-making.

Laura is passionate about guiding families through what can be one of life’s most emotional and complex transitions. She is known for her compassionate, personalized approach and her ability to clearly explain care options so families can make informed, confident decisions for their loved ones.

Her work is deeply personal. Laura was raised with the strong influence of her grandmother, whose wisdom and love shaped her lifelong connection to older adults. This personal experience fuels Laura’s commitment to ensuring every client feels supported, respected, and understood throughout their journey.

Laura helps families find care solutions that align with their budget, care needs, and preferred location—while minimizing stress and uncertainty. She considers it an honor to be trusted during such a vulnerable time and strives to provide guidance that is both professional and heartfelt.

In Spring 2021, Laura earned her Master of Science in Applied Aging Sciences from the University of South Florida. With advanced training in care coordination, assessments, and evaluations, Laura offers comprehensive, individualized services designed to support families every step of the way.

I’m Sean Cassell, co-owner of Senior Care Authority of North Florida. While my wife leads the day‑to‑day operations of our business, I’m proud to support her and our mission however I’m needed. Together, we’re committed to helping families navigate the often confusing and emotional senior care landscape with clarity, compassion, and honesty.

My passion for this work comes from a deep respect for older adults and an understanding of how overwhelming care decisions can be. I believe families deserve guidance they can trust, and I’m grateful to play a part in providing that support to our community.

Being involved in this business allows me to contribute to something meaningful—helping people find peace of mind during some of life’s most challenging transitions and supporting my wife’s dedication to serving seniors with dignity and care.

Your Advisor will meet with you in person to discuss your options and then accompany you on visits to places that meet your criteria. We ensure that all your questions are answered, and assist with paperwork and negotiations. The hallmark of our service commitment is that we are by your side every step of the way.

We are paid a referral fee by the communities and care homes so there is no cost to you for our placement services. In the rare case where we are not contracted with a community, your Advisor will let you know at the outset and explain any fees that might be incurred, should you choose that location. You can expect total transparency from us and we respect your right to choose.

Senior Care Authority

Senior Care Authority® was founded in 2009 by Frank and Michele Samson of Sonoma, California. They opened a local placement agency and learned everything there was to know about finding the right care situation for an older adult needing help with activities of daily living. They came to the Senior Care space with successful business development skills in their past as well as personal family experience finding care solutions. The business took off, primarily due to their diligence, compassion, and commitment to helping families.

Founder and CEO, Frank Samson launched Senior Care Authority® in 2009 with our first location in Sonoma County, California. Previously, Frank built a concierge travel-based franchise into a premier global brand with over 75 franchise owners. With his 20 years of expertise in the franchise industry and a passion to help families and their aging loved ones, Frank identified a need in the senior industry for a concierge approach to help families through challenging and stressful circumstances.
