As a young woman, Tammi was faced with the decision between two careers that spoke to her desire to make a difference, teaching and social work. She chose teaching and had a successful and satisfying fifteen years in education.

Feeling that it was time to change direction but wanting to continue to help families,, she chose to dive into the field of eldercare consulting and placement. Before doing this work professionally, Tammi witnessed the difficulty people face when needing to make care decisions for a loved one. Her compassion, empathy, and practical wisdom enables her to assist families in all stages of care that older adults often require. She recognizes the emotional strain and stress that can come with trying to make the right choices.

As a Michigan native, Tammi spends much of her time visiting and reviewing the area’s senior facilities. These facilities include assisted living, independent living, memory care, residential care homes, and skilled nursing. She is interested in helping her clients make the best possible decision for their loved ones. She meets one-on-one with families to assess their needs, schedules and joins them in visiting top-rated facilities, assists with paperwork, and follows up with families after a placement is made. If placement is not the immediate goal, she helps her clients access resources in the community to help them find services they need.

Tammi is married with three children, she received her Bachelor’s Degree from Michigan State University and her Master’s Degree from Saginaw Valley State University. When not working with Seniors, Tammi enjoys boating, traveling, running, reading, and spending time with her family.
