Terrence D. Sims, Certified Senior Care Advisor and Certified Dementia Professional, alongside his wife, Jennifer G. Sims, Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, bring a harmonious blend of compassion, expertise, and dedication to their respective fields, making a significant impact on the lives of all they come into contact with.

Terrence’s journey in senior care is rooted in his deep commitment to service, inspired by his calling to Christian Ministry. Ordained as an Itinerant Deacon in 2005 and an Itinerant Elder in 2014, his faith has been the cornerstone of his professional life. With over 30 years of experience in healthcare technology and finance, Terrence last served as Chief Executive Officer, President & Chief Operations Officer, and Chief Strategy Officer of a healthcare-based software company in the Therapy & Rehabilitation Industry, where his leadership ignited significant growth and innovation.

Jennifer’s career as a Registered Nurse and Lactation Consultant spans over two decades, during which she has provided compassionate caie and support to countless patients. Jennifer’s expertise is further solidified by her certifications in Pediatric Nursing, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and as a Neonatal Resuscitation Program provider. Her previous roles include managerial and clinical positions in various healthcare settings, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to patient care.

Married for over 30 years, Terrence and Jennifer’s partnership extends beyond their personal lives into their professional endeavors. Together, they share a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those they serve, whether through senior care, health technology, or maternal and infant health. They exemplify dedication, compassion, and professional excellence in senior care and health, making a profound difference in their community and beyond. Their collective expertise and genuine hearts fuels their commitment to seniors and their families.

Your Advisor will meet with you in person to discuss your options and then accompany you on visits to places that meet your criteria. We ensure that all your questions are answered, and assist with paperwork and negotiations. The hallmark of our service commitment is that we are by your side every step of the way.

We are paid a referral fee by the communities and care homes so there is no cost to you for our placement services. In the rare case where we are not contracted with a community, your Advisor will let you know at the outset and explain any fees that might be incurred, should you choose that location. You can expect total transparency from us and we respect your right to choose.

Senior Care Authority

Senior Care Authority® was founded in 2009 by Frank and Michele Samson of Sonoma, California. They opened a local placement agency and learned everything there was to know about finding the right care situation for an older adult needing help with activities of daily living. They came to the Senior Care space with successful business development skills in their past as well as personal family experience finding care solutions. The business took off, primarily due to their diligence, compassion, and commitment to helping families.
