Terri Frantz is Co-Owner of Senior Care Authority – California Central Coast and a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), providing professional eldercare consulting, senior advocacy, and education to families throughout the Central Coast. She holds a BA in English/Communications Arts from Bethany University and brings decades of experience in communication, education, and relationship-building to her work.

Terri has spent much of her life serving others through education, ministry, and leadership roles, including more than 40 years as a pastor’s wife. These experiences have shaped her compassionate approach and deep understanding of the emotional and practical challenges families face when navigating aging and care decisions.

Through Senior Care Authority, Terri guides families through the often complex process of identifying appropriate senior living and care solutions. She regularly tours and evaluates local senior communities—including independent living, assisted living, memory care, residential care homes, and skilled nursing facilities—to ensure families receive knowledgeable, unbiased recommendations. Terri meets personally with families to assess needs, accompanies them on tours of vetted communities, assists with coordination and paperwork, and provides follow-up support after a transition is made. When placement is not the immediate goal, she helps families access trusted community resources and services to support aging with dignity.

As a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) and Beyond Driving With Dignity (BDD) professional, Terri is committed to empowering families through education, advocacy, and informed guidance. Her goal is to help seniors remain safe, respected, and well cared for—while giving families clarity and peace of mind.

Terri is a wife, the mother of seven, and grandmother of nine. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her family, community involvement, reading, and singing.

Michael Frantz is Co-Owner of Senior Care Authority – California Central Coast and brings decades of experience in ministry, education, and compassionate care to the families he serves. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Ministry and a Master of Theology (ThM), along with certification as a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP).

Michael has spent much of his life serving individuals and families through pastoral leadership, counseling, and teaching. His background in theology and ministry has equipped him with a deep understanding of the emotional, spiritual, and relational challenges families often face—particularly during times of transition, illness, or cognitive decline.

As a Certified Dementia Practitioner, Michael has specialized training in dementia care and is especially passionate about supporting families navigating Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of cognitive impairment. He provides education, guidance, and reassurance to help families better understand disease progression, care options, and how to advocate effectively for their loved ones.

Through Senior Care Authority, Michael works alongside families to provide eldercare consulting, advocacy, and education. His calm presence, thoughtful insight, and commitment to dignity and respect help families feel supported and informed as they make important decisions about senior living and care.

Michael is committed to serving seniors and their families with integrity, compassion, and wisdom—helping them move forward with clarity and peace of mind.

Your Advisor will meet with you in person to discuss your options and then accompany you on visits to places that meet your criteria. We ensure that all your questions are answered, and assist with paperwork and negotiations. The hallmark of our service commitment is that we are by your side every step of the way.

We are paid a referral fee by the communities and care homes so there is no cost to you for our placement services. In the rare case where we are not contracted with a community, your Advisor will let you know at the outset and explain any fees that might be incurred, should you choose that location. You can expect total transparency from us and we respect your right to choose.

Senior Care Authority

Senior Care Authority® was founded in 2009 by Frank and Michele Samson of Sonoma, California. They opened a local placement agency and learned everything there was to know about finding the right care situation for an older adult needing help with activities of daily living. They came to the Senior Care space with successful business development skills in their past as well as personal family experience finding care solutions. The business took off, primarily due to their diligence, compassion, and commitment to helping families.
