About Us

David Johnson is the owner of Senior Care Authority – Gulf Coast Region. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) and later received a Master of Science in Hospital and Health Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

For more than 35 years, David has worked with healthcare providers, purchasers, and enrollees to develop and implement innovative delivery and acquisition models designed to produce higher levels of care and value for all involved. He combines his compassion for people with deep knowledge of healthcare delivery to help individuals and families find solutions that improve quality of life.

David purchased Senior Care Authority in 2016 and has since served families throughout North and South Alabama, Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle.

“My previous business and personal experiences with family members who were overwhelmed with emotions and faced the need to make crucial, life-changing decisions without adequate information convinced me that I could and should serve my community in this capacity,” Johnson says. “I am extremely honored to lead an amazing team that takes this responsibility seriously and works tirelessly to ensure every family who reaches out to us is served with compassion and professionalism.”

David and his wife, Leigh, are blessed with three children and six grandchildren. He is a member of the Vestavia Hills Rotary Club, where he has served in numerous leadership roles.

David and Leigh are active members of their church, and he says his faith plays a significant role in his work and in his interactions with those in need. In his spare time, David enjoys Ole Miss sports and spending time with family and friends.

Linda Needham is highly skilled at assisted individuals and families in the process of selecting a senior living community. There are many choices including independent living, assisted living and memory care. Linda makes recommendations based on budget, location, current and future care and personal preferences. After Linda has assessed the needs, she will arrange visits at the chosen communities and personally accompany you on the tours, coaching you to ask the important questions. Linda can also recommend vetted resources such as elder care attorneys as well as guide you to access VA benefits when applicable. Linda is an advocate for the individuals and families. There is no charge to the families or individuals for her placement services.
