Ann has over 20 years of experience supporting seniors and their families through the complexities of aging care. Ishe specializes in creating personalized care plans that balance individual needs, safety, preferences, and budget—whether that means coordinating in-home support or identifying the right residential or community living options. Ann also volunteers with the Alzheimer’s Association and the American Parkinson Disease Association and actively supports other community causes that matter deeply to her.

Ameilia Curtiss, LALD, CSA

Ameilia Curtiss has nearly two decades of experience supporting older adults and their families. Her career began at age 16 in an assisted living community and has since included leadership roles such as Executive Director and Director of Sales. Ameilia holds a degree in Healthcare Administration with a focus on Long-Term Care and Marketing from Minnesota State University Moorhead, completed a Leadership Certificate through the University of Minnesota in 2024, and is a Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD) in Minnesota.

Ameilia specializes in helping families navigate senior living options, in-home care planning, and important advance care conversations with compassion and clarity. She lives in St. Paul’s Como neighborhood and believes that trust and strong relationships are essential to creating peace of mind during life’s transitions.

Your Advisor will meet with you in person to discuss your options and then accompany you on visits to places that meet your criteria. We ensure that all your questions are answered, and assist with paperwork and negotiations. The hallmark of our service commitment is that we are by your side every step of the way.

We are paid a referral fee by the communities and care homes so there is no cost to you for our placement services. In the rare case where we are not contracted with a community, your Advisor will let you know at the outset and explain any fees that might be incurred, should you choose that location. You can expect total transparency from us and we respect your right to choose.

Senior Care Authority

Senior Care Authority® was founded in 2009 by Frank and Michele Samson of Sonoma, California. They opened a local placement agency and learned everything there was to know about finding the right care situation for an older adult needing help with activities of daily living. They came to the Senior Care space with successful business development skills in their past as well as personal family experience finding care solutions. The business took off, primarily due to their diligence, compassion, and commitment to helping families.

Founder and CEO, Frank Samson launched Senior Care Authority® in 2009 with our first location in Sonoma County, California. Previously, Frank built a concierge travel-based franchise into a premier global brand with over 75 franchise owners. With his 20 years of expertise in the franchise industry and a passion to help families and their aging loved ones, Frank identified a need in the senior industry for a concierge approach to help families through challenging and stressful circumstances.
