Senior Care Authority® was founded in 2009 by Frank and Michele Samson of Sonoma, California. They opened a local placement agency and learned everything there was to know about finding the right care situation for an older adult needing help with activities of daily living. They came to the Senior Care space with successful business development skills in their past as well as personal family experience finding care solutions. The business took off, primarily due to their diligence, compassion, and commitment to helping families.Call Us Today

Donna Wegener is the Area Manager for Senior Care Authority in Fairhope, Alabama. She has a 25-year background as an occupational medicine department director and hospital-based medical sales representative. During this career combined with older family members’ medical and living needs, she developed a passion for patient advocacy and the importance of socialization in aging adults. Donna became a client of Senior Care Authority and experienced firsthand the benefits of having an advisor to streamline the process and reduce the stress associated with such important decisions. She felt the ultimate decision was hers, and having an advocate and navigator on her side, gave her confidence in making the best decision for geography, needs and cost. Donna is grateful and privileged to assist others in personalized senior placement.
Katie Jeansonne is the Area Manager for Senior Care Authority in Mobile, Alabama. Prior to joining the SCA team, Katie served in customer service and advocacy roles that focused on creating solutions for her clients. Her passion for the aging population became personal in 2018 when she and her familyfaced the prospect of finding a memory care community for their mother, who had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's three years prior. Finding the communities, scheduling tours, navigating rates and fees all while working, caring for their own families, and tending to the day to day needs of their mom was daunting and overwhelming. “We were so grateful when David served as a caring, knowledgeable advocate and partner in the process. With his help, we were able to place mom in a wonderful community where she is thriving. I'm thrilled to now be on the Senior Care Authority team with him.” Katie combines local market knowledge, compassion and empathy to serve families who are seeking the best possible solution for their specific preferences.
