Lauren Steel

Senior Care Consultant & Advocate

Lauren Steel is the owner of Senior Care Authority serving Colorado Springs, Monument, Pueblo, and communities throughout Southern Colorado. As a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) and Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP), Lauren helps seniors and their families navigate senior living, care options, and life transitions with confidence and peace of mind.

After spending 35 years helping clients solve complex challenges and make informed decisions, Lauren chose to apply those same skills to helping seniors and their families navigate some of life’s most important decisions. Throughout her career, she built a reputation for listening carefully, understanding individual needs, and helping clients identify the solutions that best fit their goals.

Lauren’s passion for senior care was inspired by her grandmother, who lived to be 105 years old. When her grandmother needed additional support, Lauren’s family faced many of the same questions and concerns families face today. With the guidance of a senior care advisor, they found a solution that provided a better outcome than they had imagined. That experience showed Lauren the value of having a trusted guide during important life transitions and inspired her to help other families do the same.

Today, Lauren works with families facing a variety of situations, from planning ahead to navigating health changes, safety concerns, memory loss, or the growing responsibilities of caregiving. Families often come to her feeling overwhelmed and unsure where to start. Lauren takes the time to understand each family’s unique needs, priorities, and goals, helping them evaluate options and identify the solution that best fits their situation.

Through personalized guidance, community tours, family coaching, and advocacy, Lauren helps families make informed decisions with confidence. Drawing on a network of trusted senior care professionals and community resources, she helps families access the support they need both now and in the future.

Lauren believes every senior deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion, and every family deserves a trusted advocate by their side. Her goal is simple: to help families feel supported, informed, and confident while finding the right place for their loved one to thrive.

Your Advisor will meet with you in person to discuss your options and then accompany you on visits to places that meet your criteria. We ensure that all your questions are answered, and assist with paperwork and negotiations. The hallmark of our service commitment is that we are by your side every step of the way.

We are paid a referral fee by the communities and care homes so there is no cost to you for our placement services. In the rare case where we are not contracted with a community, your Advisor will let you know at the outset and explain any fees that might be incurred, should you choose that location. You can expect total transparency from us and we respect your right to choose.

Senior Care Authority

Senior Care Authority® was founded in 2009 by Frank and Michele Samson of Sonoma, California. They opened a local placement agency and learned everything there was to know about finding the right care situation for an older adult needing help with activities of daily living. They came to the Senior Care space with successful business development skills in their past as well as personal family experience finding care solutions. The business took off, primarily due to their diligence, compassion, and commitment to helping families.

Founder and CEO, Frank Samson launched Senior Care Authority® in 2009 with our first location in Sonoma County, California. Previously, Frank built a concierge travel-based franchise into a premier global brand with over 75 franchise owners. With his 20 years of expertise in the franchise industry and a passion to help families and their aging loved ones, Frank identified a need in the senior industry for a concierge approach to help families through challenging and stressful circumstances.
