I have no idea what that one star review is about. I really don’t like when people leave a bad rating and also give no feedback as to why they didn’t like something—it’s immature and irresponsible. The Woods is a unique spot in the world...unpretentious but beautifully conceived and executed. It is about the only place besides a trailer home park that one can purchase a home near beautiful ocean country in California. But this is, no disrespect to trailer parks, not a trailer park. It’s a planned community of pre-fab homes, many very nice ones, connected by two circles, about 80 of them, all 3 minutes away from gorgeous ocean bluffs. Quiet, very well-maintained, a small indoor pool, jacuzzi, workout room, clubhouse with pool table, piano, library, kitchen, video, and all of this backs up to public forest and then state park. My mom has owned two different homes here, the second one for her full retirement. She is so happy! The people are very nice and people keep to themselves, yet it’s not hard to make friends here for her. A great place to retire!

A nice retirement community in a country setting. All modular homes and most have detached garages. There is also a large community room suitable for parties or banquets. Indoor pool also.
