Dr. Thelma Reese, author of The New Senior Woman: Reinventing the Years Beyond Mid-Life, and also wrote The New Senior Man to satisfy the numerous requests from men who wanted their own book. She is the creator of the blog, www.ElderChicks.com, and is a retired professor of English and Education.
Pete Shrock is Co-Founder & Chief People Officer at Legacy Navigator and for the past 15 years, Pete has served as an emotional first responder in situations of grief, trauma, and crisis both locally and on a national level. His early contributions in social work led to a 10-year career as the Chief Program Officer for Comfort Zone Camp, a bereavement camp for children. Most recently, Pete partnered with Craig Shealy and Matt Paxton to create Legacy Navigator, a full-service estate management company. Pete brings a deep understanding of the grief that accompanies death or other difficult transitions like downsizing or divorce. In 2017 Pete was named one of Richmond’s Top 40 Under 40.
Eliezer Sobel is the author of one of the first series of books designed for Alzheimer’s and dementia patients: Blue Sky, White Clouds: A Book for Memory-Challenged Adults and is also the author of numerous other books, blogs for PsychologyToday.com Eliezer is first and foremost a son: his mother is 94 and currently in her 18th year of Alzheimer’s, and his late father passed away at 93 following a Traumatic Brain Injury and subsequent dementia after falling down a stairwell. Eliezer and his wife Shari Cordon moved in with his parents that same night and have managed their care ever since.

Rebecca Hahessy graduated Cum Laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Relations and a concentration in Gerontology and Psychology. Rebecca has been working in the not for profit field for 15 years and in the medical arena more than 10 years. Currently, she is the Program Director at the American Parkinson Disease Association, South Florida Chapter. She manages all their support groups and health and wellness activities and is responsible for providing education, assistance and resources to the community.
