After working for almost 29 years in the corporate world, Jodi Glacer has found a way to use her life experiences to help others who are facing life changing decisions for themselves or a family member.
“I have been looking for a career that would allow me to be altruistic. Senior Care Authority has given me the opportunity to use my strengths and do something good for families.”
Jodi left South Florida to attend the University of Central Florida in Orlando. After living in Atlanta, she returned to South Florida following 9/11, after realizing she wanted to spend time with her parents then, as opposed to moving back when they needed her to take care of them. She’s lived in Palm Beach County for over 14 years now. Jodi’s Aunt and several dear friends’ relatives in Florida had experienced placement difficulties during illnesses that required assisted living.
Her background as a training consultant, a technical writer and in marketing combines to allow Jodi’s new career in assisting seniors to find the right fit. Jodi now spends much of her time touring and reviewing local living communities – including assisted living, independent living, dementia and memory care, and residential care homes. She then meets one-on-one with families to assess their needs. She accompanies them on tours of pre-approved facilities, assists them with their negotiations and paperwork, and follows up with the client once the placement has been made.
There is no cost to families for Jodi’s placement services. Instead she earns a fee from the facility after a placement is made.
